Many children can benefit from the minimally invasive, safe and well-tolerated addition of nitrous oxide. Also known as laughing gas, it can help patients feel comfortable during dental treatment & allow for the treatment to be accomplished in the traditional dental setting in the office. As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Sam has achieved credentialing to work at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. For her patients with extensive dental needs, infection risk, or high levels of dental anxiety or special health care needs who may not be safely or comfortably treated in other settings, Dr. Sam believes that treatment under General Anesthesia at the Children’s Hospital is an excellent way for her patients to get the treatment they need. All dental work is completed in one visit under the experienced eye of Pediatric Anesthesiologists.
In-Office General Anesthesia
For comfort & convenience, Dr. Sam has taken the time and energy to find an experienced, capable & dedicated dental anesthesiologist to offer in-office sedation here at South Boulder Pediatric Dentistry. Similar to the hospital, your child will be safely sedated but in this case they will be in the office they have already come to recognize and feel comfortable in. They will then wake up, having had all of their dental work completed, in a familiar environment immediately attended to by their loved-ones.
