Special Needs Care
Every child is unique. Some children do better with modifications of the traditional dental environment- we are happy to make their experience more comfortable.
Some children have special healthcare needs that require medical accommodations and considerations for dental treatment.
Some children are neuromarginalized; the sight, sounds and flavors of a traditional dental setting may overwhelm and distress.
Dr. Sam has extensive training as a pediatric dentist to work with children who would benefit from a variety of special considerations to thrive in the dental environment. She has consulted with local occupational therapists to improve the access to her practice for children with a variety of special needs.

You know your child better than anyone else. Please write or call ahead to help us understand your child’s unique situation. Along with communication, please fill out this form ahead of time.
Prepare for your visit
We’ve created social stories to help introduce your child to our office. We recommend you bring any comfort items which might help them. Dr. Sam is always happy to talk to you ahead of time if you’d like.
Our office
Our office is won’t overwhelm a child with bright colors or loud sounds. Our team is welcoming; we strive to make every visit successful. We have special equipment and materials which can make your child’s visit easier.
